Be­reave­ment sup­port­group Car­ing­for Your­men­tal healthtalk

A drop-in be­reave­ment sup­port group is held in New Ross on the first Thurs­day of ev­ery month. The New Ross Parish Bethany Be­reave­ment Sup­port Group is there for peo­ple who have suf­fered a be­reave­ment and need to talk about it. The drop-in cen­tre is lo­cated in the Pas­toral Cen­tre on Robert Street on Thurs­day, from 11 a.m. to mid­day.

As part of the Healthy Ire­land na­tion­wide cam­paign, New Ross Li­brary will host a talk on car­ing for your men­tal health on Tues­day, Au­gust 7, at 7 p.m. This talk will be given by re­tired psy­chi­atric nurse Niall O’Muirí, who is also a mem­ber of the board of di­rec­tors of the Wex­ford Men­tal Health As­so­ci­a­tion. Niall will ex­plore how teenagers and par­ents can speak frankly to each other about men­tal health is­sues in a proac­tive way. To book phone 051 421877.
