Lo­cal cam­paign for Hig­gins launched

The New Ross cam­paign for the re-elec­tion of Pres­i­dent Michael D. Hig­gins has been launched.

The group will be can­vass­ing the town in the com­ing weeks and are call­ing on mem­bers of the pub­lic across New Ross to come out on Fri­day, Oc­to­ber 26, and, once again, give Michael D their No. 1 vote.

Lo­cal cam­paign co-or­di­na­tor, Bridín Moloney, spoke at the night in O’Ri­ain’s cafe in Ir­ish­town and re­minded peo­ple that all his life Michael D. Hig­gins has worked to pro­mote the prin­ci­ples of com­pas­sion, jus­tice and equal­ity at home and abroad.

Bridín said with ‘over the last seven years in of­fice Pres­i­dent Hig­gins has been an in­spir­ing rep­re­sen­ta­tive for Ire­land both do­mes­ti­cally and in­ter­na­tion­ally. We know, if re-elected, he will con­tinue to be a com­pas­sion­ate and thought­ful voice for the Ir­ish peo­ple’.
