Drunk man fell asleep in takeaway
A MAN who fell asleep in an Abrakebabra restaurant turned out to be highly intoxicated, the District Court was told.
The gardaí were called in to deal with Martin O’Brien, 3 Cherryville, New Ross at the restaurant on February 7.
Staff found themselves unable to remove him from the premises, so they contacted the barracks.
O’Brien was in court at Wexford to deal with the summons accusing him of being intoxicated in a public place.
He told Judge Gerard Haughton that, after the incident at Abrakebabra, he signed himself into hospital for treatment of drink and drug addictions.
He was allowed six months for payment of a €100 fine.
