High-fly­ing Glynn Barn­town too good for Port

Glynn Barn­town con­tinue to lead the way in Di­vi­sion 2 af­ter see­ing off Ross­lare Port 5-2 on Sun­day.

Rioghan Cros­bie and Nigel Usher both net­ted dou­bles for the win­ners, with Dy­lan Lyne also get­ting in on the act.

How­ever, Adamstown showed they are a force to be reck­oned with when mak­ing it three wins from three with a 3-0 tri­umph against Cushin­stown. Ian White, Tom Shan­non and Dan Thorpe got their goals.

Ferns United got their sec­ond win on the board when over­com­ing Kil­lenagh Wan­der­ers 2-0 with goals from Robert Vick­ers and Johnny Breen, while Shel­burne and Tagh­mon United drew 1-1.

Paudie Lynch hit the back of the net for Shel­burne, with Brian Doyle get­ting on the score­sheet for Tagh­mon . THE WEX­FORD Foot­ball League kick off their Os­car Traynor Tro­phy cam­paign with a home tie against the Ath­letic Union League (A.U.L.) at Fer­rycar­rig Park on Sun­day.

Wil­lie Peare’s charges will then travel to play Kilkenny and Wick­low in their other two group games.
