Pupils’ projects help MS branch

-

ADAMSTOWN NS pupils used their imaginations in coming up with novel fundraising ideas to make money for the local MS branch.

The student council of SN Abbáin in Adamstown formed in September of 2018 and as part of their many roles and functions in the school they decided that they would like to do a fundraiser for the charity. They decided on two fundraisers that would run simultaneously.

They organised a jar filled with skittles, and for 50c the students were given the chance to guess the number in the jar – there was 457 in total. Secondly, they decided to have a Christmas jumper day and have a disco in the hall during the last week of school before the Christmas holidays.

In total they raised €320 and a grateful Ruby Murphy from the South Wexford MS Branch came out to the school and the student council presented her with the cheque.
