* Ex­cit­ing news for our food colum­nist, Cather­ine Fulvio, who is team­ing up with top chef Paul Ainsworth to host a new BBC show, Best Christ­mas Food Ever, in the run-up to the big day. Cather­ine and Paul will be pre­par­ing dishes which cap­ture the essence of Christ­mas and ex­plore the tastes that de ne the sea­son. A num­ber of celebrity guests will drop in to en­joy a dish that has a fes­tive mean­ing for them.

* Fol­low­ing her suc­cess­ful run on Ray Dono­van, leg­endary ac­tress An­nMar­gret has joined the cast of US series, Happy!, for its sec­ond sea­son. The series fol­lows the for­tunes of Nick Sax (Christo­pher Meloni), a hit­man who be­friends an imag­i­nary winged horse named Happy (Pat­ton Oswalt). The Swedish ac­tress, fa­mous for her roles in the likes of Viva Las Ve­gas (1964), The Cincin­nati Kid (1965) and Car­nal Knowl­edge (1971), will play the re­cur­ring role of Bebe De­barge, a for­mer siren of stage and screen.

* Chan­nel 4 has com­mis­sioned a doc­u­men­tary en­ti­tled Steph and Dom: Can Cannabis Save Our Son? It fol­lows the for­mer Gog­gle­box stars as they strug­gle to help their 18-year-old son, Max, who has se­vere epilepsy and autism. In re­cent months, Steph and Dom have been given new hope, as one of the con­stituents of med­i­cal mar­i­juana, CBD, has been shown to con­trol or even elim­i­nate the deadly seizures which blight Max’s life. They are cur­rently be­ing re­fused this treat­ment. This one-o lm fol­lows Steph, Dom and Honor, their 15-yearold daugh­ter, in their e orts to help Max.
