Af­ter get­ting a to-do list from Jean to pre­pare for the birth of her baby, Hay­ley is feel­ing over­whelmed, but Miriam is on hand to o er sup­port. Miriam tells Hay­ley about a child with foetal al­co­hol syn­drome that she and Ar­shad fos­tered, and the guilt from drink­ing through­out her preg­nancy over­comes Hay­ley, who storms out. Back with Jean, Hay­ley re­veals that she drank while in Spain, and Jean im­me­di­ately be­comes sus­pi­cious. With Jean’s ques­tions about the father be­com­ing awk­ward, Hay­ley leaves again and goes drink­ing in the park, but will Jean give up? The next day, Hay­ley hits a new low af­ter a dress­ing down from Jean. She bumps into Keanu, who goes on to tell the rest of the Slaters that Hay­ley said she was go­ing “home”. The fam­ily re­alise, with hor­ror, where she is head­ing, and soon they are rac­ing up the stairs of an aban­doned tower block where they nd Hay­ley perched on the edge of a bal­cony. Will Kat, Jean and Mo be able to talk her down?

Else­where, Stacey nally con­vinces Ruby to go to the po­lice about what hap­pened on the night of Martin’s re­u­nion. Dur­ing ques­tion­ing, how­ever, Martin feels un­com­fort­able as cer­tain de­tails come to light which draw Ruby’s side of the story into ques­tion.

Sharon and Keanu be­come para­noid that Phil knows what has been hap­pen­ing be­tween them as they be­gin to re­ceive threat­en­ing text mes­sages from an un­known num­ber.
