Dine in Galway Week
Hot on the heels of another successful Food On the Edge symposium in Galway, restaurants, cafés and bars across the city and county are teaming up with local food producers for Dine in Galway week, taking place November 5 to 11. Expect some unique collaborations among the region’s food businesses throughout the week, with specially designed menu items, highlighting produce that showcase Galway’s great food and dining culture.
Among the establishments taking part is 56 Central with a special localingredient dish of Collerans Black Pudding served on a 6oz beef burger from Heaney Meats with caramelised onion in a Le Petit Delice brioche with fries and a glass of wine or bottle of Galway Bay beer supplied by J & C Kenny (cost €13). At The Yard at The House Hotel, you will be invited to choose from four Dine In Galway á la carte tasting plates (available daily from 5pm) along with two Yard cocktails for €40.
Galway is the first European Region of Gastronomy (ERoG) in Ireland or the UK, one of just two places to receive the designation for 2018, the other one being Noord Brabant in the Netherlands.
