Dine in Gal­way Week

Hot on the heels of an­other suc­cess­ful Food On the Edge sym­po­sium in Gal­way, restau­rants, cafés and bars across the city and county are team­ing up with lo­cal food pro­duc­ers for Dine in Gal­way week, tak­ing place Novem­ber 5 to 11. Ex­pect some unique col­lab­o­ra­tions among the re­gion’s food busi­nesses through­out the week, with spe­cially de­signed menu items, high­light­ing pro­duce that show­case Gal­way’s great food and din­ing cul­ture.

Among the es­tab­lish­ments tak­ing part is 56 Cen­tral with a spe­cial lo­cal­in­gre­di­ent dish of Coller­ans Black Pud­ding served on a 6oz beef burger from Heaney Meats with caramelised onion in a Le Pe­tit Delice brioche with fries and a glass of wine or bot­tle of Gal­way Bay beer sup­plied by J & C Kenny (cost €13). At The Yard at The House Ho­tel, you will be in­vited to choose from four Dine In Gal­way á la carte tast­ing plates (avail­able daily from 5pm) along with two Yard cock­tails for €40.

Gal­way is the first Euro­pean Re­gion of Gas­tron­omy (ERoG) in Ire­land or the UK, one of just two places to re­ceive the des­ig­na­tion for 2018, the other one be­ing No­ord Bra­bant in the Nether­lands.
