LIMERICK LEADERS

-

2018 was a year in which hurling came to the fore. Game after game featured memorable showdowns, dazzling play and unlikely comebacks. When the dust settled in August (yes, August), it was Limerick who prevailed, reclaiming Liam Mccarthy for the rst time in 45 years with a 3-16 to 2-18 victory over defending

All Ireland champions, Galway. In the words of the great John Mullane: “To beat the three traditional counties – and the reigning All-ireland champions – in the one season marks [Limerick] out as deserving champions and the team of the year.”
