Wayne’s woes continue as Tommy and Junior grow closer. He urges Orla and Dolores not to let Tommy get too close, but his opinion changes when Doug tells him about his own childhood experience­s. Orla is pleased about W ayne’s change of heart, and they discuss how Wayne feels about the complicate­d situation. He’s still not too pleased with Tommy taking Junior to school, but he tries to remain upbeat and wants to help out more with the money. His mood sours when he sees how Tommy and Junior are bonding, and he takes his anger out on an innocent Doug. Unfortunat­ely, things don’t look up for Wayne as he’s put under increased pressure on the job. However, he shakes o his responsibi­lities and insists on taking Junior to hospital, adding stress to a resentful Doug. Doug goes to Dolores and tells her how badly Wayne is coping, which is proven true when Wayne loses a contract.

ere’s more ill-will elsewhere as Charlotte and Paul are at each other’s throats. Paul’s not happy when he feels that Charlotte is using Ruth to get to him, and threatens to make her pay if she doesn’t stay out of his way. Callum is caught in the middle when Charlotte swears revenge, and Paul demands that he pick a side. Frustrated, he convinces Charlotte to back down, but when she sends a damning video to Niamh, Paul is out for blood.
