IRISH-OWNED business telecoms provider Welltel has bought Eyrco Communications, a specialist business call recording company for around €4m.

Welltel provides telecoms solutions to over 3,000 customers both in Ireland and internationally.

The company has featured for four consecutive years in the Deloitte Fast 50 awards.

Eyrco was established in 2015 when managing director Mark Evans led an MBO of the voice and call recording business of Unity Technology Solutions.

Eyrco will now become the enterprise division of the company and be rebranded as Welltel Enterprise, with Evans staying in the role managing director.

“This acquisition is another step towards our longterm goal of becoming the ‘go to’ player in the business communications market,” said Welltel chief executive Ross Murray.

“We are on track towards our target through a compelling combination of strong organic platform growth and strategic M&A.

“Today being a ‘well-connected’ business means more than just voice, data and cloud technology. It means your business has access to thousands of service combinations with dedicated expertise to advise and guide,” he added.
