Now, with microbreweries and the availability of premium new blends from the big names in the booze biz, gin is the flavour of the moment, with gin bars and gin clubs opening everywhere. In London, on Portobello Road, there’s even the Ginstitute Museum. From Thursday, March 30 to Sunday April 2, Galway will host the inaugural Gin Fest — four days of gin-joyment in the city’s Latin Quarter, with bars hosting masterclasses and tastings, food and gin pairings, new gin launches and gin and reels music sessions!
