Dr Marie Bourke, art historian, curator
Dublin-born Dr Marie Bourke is an art-cultural historian and curator of the current exhibition, Frederic William Burton: For the Love of Art, at the National Gallery of Ireland. At the age of four her mother brought her to an art studio and from that moment she fell in love with the world of art. She is not just interested in researching Irish art but is passionate about making Ireland’s cultural history more accessible and wellknown to a wider public. Marie is giving a talk on the Burton exhibition today in the National Gallery of Ireland at 3pm. Free, all welcome. The exhibition continues to January 14.
