Construction work begins on nerve centre for fire service
CONSTRUCTION of the new Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service (NIFRS) Logistics Support Centre on Boucher Crescent in Belfast has commenced.
This follows the appointment of Lowry Building & Civil Engineering as principal contractors.
The Stg£7.8m project is expected to be complete by spring 2018.
HLM, a leading architecture and design company with offices in Belfast, designed the new facility, which will be the main hub for the maintenance, servicing and repair of the Northern Ireland fire service’s appliances and operational equipment.
