Area name: Dun Laoghaire means Fort of Laoghaire, a 5th-cen­tury Ir­ish chief, and is a sea­side sub­urb south of Dublin city.

Trans­port links: Dun Laoghaire has very good public trans­port links, with a Dart sta­tion run­ning along­side the coast road as well as nu­mer­ous bus routes. It also has easy ac­cess to the M50 and the N11 to­wards Wick­low and Wex­ford.
