Wexford prevail in end as Offaly come up short
WEXFORD gained a comfortable seven-point victory, 2-17 to 1-13, over Offaly in a mediocre Leinster minor hurling championship quarter-final at Innovate Wexford Park yesterday.
Both sides showed real spirit through the opening quarter, but it was Wexford who were making best chances playing into the breeze. Joe Keeneghan and David Nally gave the midlanders an early advantage with points before two Ross Banville pointed frees had the sides level, 0-2 each after eight minutes.
