Holy Trinity lead from the off in cup triumph
HOLY Trinity College were crowned the Paddy Drummond Cup winners following a comprehensive 0-19 to 1-6 victory over St Nathy’s College in which they led from the second minute to the finish.
The Tyrone side started far quicker than their Roscommon counterparts and by the turn of the quarter had a 0-6 0-0 lead with inside-forward Mark Devlin leading the charge. It could have been more but for a string of fine saves from Alan Davey.
They continued in that fashion throughout not allowing Nathy’s a score from play until the 58th minute when, by that stage, the contest was well over.
