Area name: Mount Merrion is an upmarket suburb approx 7km south of Dublin, close to Blackrock village.

Amenities: Schools in the area include Blackrock College, Newpark and St Andrew’s. Blackrock village is also home to Heron & Grey, the tiny Michelinstarred restaurant that is at the top of every self-respecting food-lover’s bucket list. If the new owners can’t get a table, they will also eat well at Three Leaves and Dunne & Crescenzi.

Close to: Blackrock village is within walking distance, and will soon have three supermarkets when Aldi joins M&S and SuperValu. Transport links: There are frequent bus and Dart services into the city centre within easy reach.
