After a 31-year-old-man paid €250 to charity, and had two public order charges struck out, Judge Coughlan noted it was a very expensive night out for the defendant.
Thomas Campbell, Rosskeagh, Kilcurry, pleaded guilty to being intoxicated and a danger to himself and others, and engaging in threatening, abusive and insulting behaviour in Park Street, Dundalk, on 21 October, 2017.
Solicitor Peter Lavery said his client has no previous convictions, and had apologised to gardaí.
Evidence was heard that he was disqualified from driving at the time.
Solicitor Frank McDonnell said his client does not enjoy good health.
Judge Coughlan sentenced Quigley to five months, and imposed 10-year driving disqualification.
