Can’tfind sum­mons

Two cases, each al­leg­ing the sale of in­tox­i­cat­ing liquor to per­sons U-18, have been struck out, af­ter the pros­e­cu­tion ad­mit­ted the orig­i­nal sum­monses can’t be found.

Colin Fee (61), Maxol fill­ing sta­tion, Castle­town Road, Dun­dalk, and Eu­gene Fee (59), Mace su­per­mar­ket, Greenacres Shop­ping Cen­tre, Dun­dalk, were each ac­cused of the of­fence at their re­spec­tive premises on 19 Au­gust, 2016.

Pre­vi­ously, de­fence so­lic­i­tor James MacGuill ar­gued on the de­lay in bring­ing the mat­ters be­fore court, and the cases were ad­journed to al­low gar­daí re­spond.

In court last week, Sgt. Fin­tan McGroder said the orig­i­nal sum­monses can’t be lo­cated.

Judge Coughlan struck out the charges.
