Crowne Plaza Dundalk celebrates 10 years in business
THE Crowne Plaza Hotel, a popular venue and very much a landmark on the local landscape, recently celebrated an important milestone with the tenth anniversary of the opening of the business in Dundalk.
The hotel was built in 2007 and has hosted various events, including weddings, dinner dances, different celebrations and welcomed countless guests since then. With 129 bedrooms in the hotel one can only hazard a guess how many people have passed through the hotel over the decade.
During the 10 years, the hotel has continually strived to meet and set very high standards and the building has been kept in immaculate condition with the public areas all receiving soft refurbishments over the last three years.
Updated to a high standard were the lobby, function suite, Fourteen Below bar and last year the top floor Rooftop restaurant which boasts stunning views of picturesque Carlingford and the Cooley Peninsula.
The bedrooms are built over 12 floors and are beautifully deco- rated to a season of the year --- all with an excerpt from a local poet. Fondly known locally as the Plaza, the hotel is part and parcel of every day life in Dundalk, being very much a landmark building recognized from several miles away as the tallest in the locality.
It is the obvious and “the place” to meet and to stay with its top floor restaurant, garden space for weddings and summer barbecues. The hotel of course would not function without the dedication and loyalty of the team who have given their lives to provide the finest food and drinks, hospitality and service and are totally committed to the delivery of a Four Star experience for guests.
The hotel is extremely proud that some of the team members are with them since day one. You will notice the service pins attached to the staff and recognize their familiar faces upon your visit to the hotel.
The management thanks all our guests, suppliers and staff for a wonderful 10 years! The very best wishes to the hotel on its tenth birthday and for many more birthdays to come.
