Guild raises €1,100 for charity
Blackrock ICA held their annual Cake, Craft and Coffee Morning in the Community Centre on Saturday October 28.
The stalls were well stocked with home baking, Halloween themed crafts, books and bric a brac. There was also a raffle with many prizes to be won.
A steady stream of visitors came along between 11am and 12.30 to support the guild in raising money for The North Louth Hospice and The Birches Alzheimher’s Day Care Centre.
These two charities will benefit equally from the proceeds of just over €1,100 which includes several generous donations and money raised at a small cake sale amongst the staff at St Oliver’s school on the preceding Friday, organised by our longest serving member, Kathleen Lynch.”
