SOME 1,229 days after scoring his last Dundalk goal in a 1-1 draw with Bray Wanderers at the Carlisle Grounds in October 2014, Pat Hoban was back amongst the goals against Limerick FC on Tuesday night. On what was his 55th league start for the club, he chipped in with a superb double on the night. The brace means he has now scored 36 goals in his last 52 league starts for Dundalk. Hoban’s goals were also his first in 413 days since also scoring twice for Mansfield Town against Oldham Athletic in the Checkatrad­e Trophy in January 2017. The goals - the 15th double in his career - has taken his tally of goals in Irish football for Mervue Utd and Dundalk to 65.
