-

THE first ever St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Cooley will be held this year. It will begin at 12.30pm from Murphy’s petrol station at Bush before heading down the main road to the Cooley Kickham’s Complex at Monksland.

The parade will feature children from the local schools, football teams and the Boy Scouts club in addition to vintage cars and tractors and floats sponsored by local businesses.

The route will take the parade along the main road to the Cooley complex. The Carlingford Pipe Band will welcome the parade to the complex. Refreshments will be served inside including traditional Irish stew. Live music will be provided by The Rambling String Band (formerly Ceol heads).

Big screens in the Complex will show the Rugby match and the All Ireland Club Finals from Croke Park while a disco will be held downstairs for the children.
