CAROLINE’S FAMILY AND FRIENDS MAKE IT A GREAT 40TH

-

On Saturday night we braved the elements and headed for the Lilywhite Lounge where a very special 40th birthday party was taking place for Caroline Neary from Avenue Road and there to make sure she had a fantastic night was husband Brian, kids Caoimhe and Liam, parents Maura and Gerry Higgins from Ard Easmuinn and a huge collection of family and friends.

Caroline who works in Castletown Girls School was looking stunning in her red dress on the night and wanted to thank everyone there for showing up on such a wild night.

I wasn’t too long in the door when I met up with Andrea and Alan Hoey from Ashbrook who were with aunt-in-law Pat Neary from Fr. Murray Park along with Joanne and Gary Hoey from Waterview who told me they are all good friends and it was going to be a very quiet night of celebrations, funny I was thinking the exact opposite.

Not too far away I then got talking to Patrick and Anne Dowdall from Ard Easmuinn who are all good friends of Caroline and Brian’s and wanted to wish her a very happy 21st!

Not too far away I then got a quick word with Brian’s parents Charlotte and Jimmy Neary from Greenwood Drive who were there with Stephen and Marian Neary from Lis Na Dara as well as sister-in-law Sarah Neary who wanted a big shout out for her main man Graham Boland who couldn’t make it on the night because he’s over in Germany working at the moment.

They were also having a right old time of it with Clare Ward from Mary Street North who wanted to wish Caroline all the best on her big night.

I then headed for a table where many of her mates from Castletown Girls school were seated and first met up with Siobhan Curran from Kilkerley who was with husband Aidan, Deirdre Rogers and Lisa Murphy both from Blackrock, Pauline Wilson from Lennon Melia Terrace, Nuala Kerr from Dowdallshill, Eilish Donegan from Blackrock, Maria Butterly from Togher, Máire O’Rourke- Curran from Blackrock, Pauline Talt from Bay Estate and Maria McNally from Seabank Castlebellingham who were all in party mode and having a fantastic time at Caroline’s party.

After this I met up with Catherine Costigan, Sheryl Muckian and Maria Waring all from Blackrock who told me they are all friends of Caroline’s and they were there with Owen Martin from Clanbrassil Street, Conor Waring originally from Bachelors Walk but now hanging his hat alongside his three wives’ in Blackrock, Lorcan Costigan from Blackrock who are all mates with Brian and were definitely up for making it a real night to remember.

I then headed over for a chat with Caroline’s parents Maura and Gerry Higgins from Ard Easmuinn who assured me they’d be on the dancefloor very soon and were having a chat with aunties Mary Higgins from Bay Estate, Jacinta and Jim Kerley from Oaklawns, Ciaran and Margaret Higgins from Kingswood daughter Niamh and boyfriend Jarlath Lyons from Greenwood Drive who all wanted to wish Caroline a very happy birthday and were there to make sure she definitely made the best of it.
