Photographer gets residency at Creative Spark
DUNDALK photographer Ciaran Dunbar is the artist-in-residence at Creative Spark for March and April.
The 36 year old studied photography at the University of Ulster, and worked as an intern in Ó’Fiaich Institute Of Further Education.
His parents moved to Dundalk from Portadown in the 1980s and much of his work reflects the experience of families who relocated ‘down south’ and of life in a border town.
He has exhibited in the Gallery of Photography and The County Museum, Dundalk.
During his time at Creative Spark, Ciarán hopes to work on several projects while possibly involving a Muirhevna Mór community group on a community project as he grew up in the area which he featured in a photography project, named The Wise.
