Hoban moves up the charts

PAT Hoban’s double against St Patrick’s Athletic took his totally number of league goals for Dundalk to 55, leapfroggi­ng Paddy Turner and Turlough O’Connor (both 54) into fourth place in the club’s all-time list of leading league goalscorer­s. He is now just 14 off equalling the record of 69 held by Joey Donnelly. His double also saw him leapfrog Mick Fairclough to become the 13th highest all-time goalscorer in the club’s history. It also saw him score a career best 21 league goals in a season, surpassing his total of 20 from the 2014 title winning season. He is now just four off equalling Richie Towell’s record of 25 in a season. His opener was his first ever goal at Richmond Park. He has now scored four goals against St Patrick’s Athletic - all coming this season.
