Hoban moves up the charts
PAT Hoban’s double against St Patrick’s Athletic took his totally number of league goals for Dundalk to 55, leapfrogging Paddy Turner and Turlough O’Connor (both 54) into fourth place in the club’s all-time list of leading league goalscorers. He is now just 14 off equalling the record of 69 held by Joey Donnelly. His double also saw him leapfrog Mick Fairclough to become the 13th highest all-time goalscorer in the club’s history. It also saw him score a career best 21 league goals in a season, surpassing his total of 20 from the 2014 title winning season. He is now just four off equalling Richie Towell’s record of 25 in a season. His opener was his first ever goal at Richmond Park. He has now scored four goals against St Patrick’s Athletic - all coming this season.
