Carrick Rd gridlock
A call went out for solutions to the traffic gridlock along Carrick road, which emerged as schools reopened for the new year. Cllr. Maria Doyle said kit was becoming ‘almost impossible to commute into town’ such was the extent of the traffic.
She added that at some points people couldn’t walk on the footpath either as cars were parking up on them. Cllr. Mark Dearey agreed, adding ‘ there is a massive structural problem in town, and no mid point between the railway station and Bridge Street.’
