THE U9s at­tended an all county blitz in Darver last week. They played three tough games and showed great han­dling skills in wet con­di­tions. Play­ing the Kevin’s first, dread­nots and fin­ished off play­ing Geral­dine’s!! They put in great ef­fort win­ning one,draw­ing and losin one match. All games filled with great tack­ling and block­ing and some great scores.

The U16s de­feated Dread­nots by 3-13 to 0-3 in the cham­pi­onship quar­ter-fi­nal. The U10s at­tended a blitz in Kilk­er­ley against the Joes, Kilk­er­ley Em­metts and Dun­dalk Young Ire­lands. They played three out­stand­ing games with all the re­sults go­ing Coo­ley’s way. Conor Mc Gur­gan in goals pulled out 4 mag­nif­i­cent saves and his kick outs were on point. The backs of Con­all Quinn Sabh Richard­son Joe Rafferty and Matthew Brady tor­mented the op­po­si­tion and showed great skills in their tack­ling and block­ing abil­i­ties. The mid­field­ers Ro­nan Malone Daniel Page Ciaran Sheilds and Ben Craven showed ex­cel­lent ball han­dling skills and won the ma­jor­ity of the goal kick outs . The for­wards Sleib­hin O Neill, Peadar Walsh, Aaron Long racked up a great tally of goals and points and caused the de­fence a lot of prob­lems. All play­ers put in a com­plete team per­for­mance and done ex­tremely well. Thanks to the par­ents for their sup­port Em­mett Page for ref­eree and a spe­cial thanks to the team man­ager, as­sis­tant coach Diar­muid O Neill. A job well done.
