DID YOU KNOW
PAT Hoban’s double against Limerick FC on Friday night means he has now scored against the Shannonsiders 11 times in his career - more than against any other side he had played against. His double was the 20th of his career and saw him overtake Leo McDonagh to move up to 11th in the club’s all-time goalscoring charts. Hoban has now scored 9 goals in 9 starts in the FAI Cup throughout his career. The last time he scored and lost a game for Dundalk was in his last start in the competition prior to Friday night when the Lilywhites went down 2-1 to Shamrock Rovers in the FAI Cup quarter-final at Oriel Park in September 2014.
20th for Mountney
JOHN Mountney marked his 150th start for Dundalk and his 170th career start with his 20th career goal against Limerick on Friday night. It was his 19th goal for Dundalk, with the other coming for Mervue Utd. Friday’s goal was also his third of the season and his first since opening the scoring at the Markets Field in the 3-0 win over Limerick back in April.
