DANCING

Dancing in the Community Centre continues this Sunday night November 11, with music by J and S Sound. Adrian Ryan plays on November 18 and White Lightening on November 25, Curtis Magee on December2, Showbud on December 9, and Liam Mannering on December 16. Dancing from 9.00pm to midnight.

BAPTISM

BOWLS

Bowls continue in the Community Centre from 7.45pm each Wednesday night. New members welcome.

BADMINTON

Badminton for adults in the Community Centre on Monday nights from 8.00pm to 10.00pm. All over 18 welcome.

Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament takes place each Friday from 6.30p.m.-7.30p.m. Please pray for Eddie Cronin, St Clements Park, Dundalk, Jennifer Grant, Belmayne, Dublin, formerly Barronstow­n, Patsy Gernon, Greyacre, Michael Tuite, Sportsmanh­all, Thomas Lamont, Blackrock, who died recently.

Baptisms take place every second Sunday of the month at 10.00am mass. Confession will take place after 6.00p.m Mass on Saturdays and before Mass on First Fridays. If you wish to have your home blessed please contact Fr Gerry or Fr Paddy.

The Church Choir is looking for more members so please contact Fidelma Bellew or the priests.

Mass of the Angels for babies who died before or after birth will be on Saturday, November 24, at 6.00pm. Refreshmen­ts afterwards in the Community Centre.

Fr Paddy is presently covering in Monasterbo­ice Parish until January 2019, celebratin­g weekend and week day masses, Baptisms, Weddings, Funerals, First Friday calls and hospital visits. He will still do what he can in Kilkerley if he as any time to spare at all.

St John Paul Parish Awards which encourages and celebrates young peoples involvemen­t in the community will be launched at 6.00pm mass this Saturday, November 10. More details from Jane Quinn on 087 9708482.

Well done to Gary O’Hanlon on finishing second Irish Runner home in the Dublin City Marathon on Bank Holiday Monday and also to all the other locals who took part in the event.

The Foroige Club continues each Friday evening at 8.00pm in the Community Centre as does Lady Birds and Girl Guides at 6.00pm and Brownies at 7.00pm..

EMMETS GFC

The girls minor team beat Roche in the championsh­ip and this Sunday are away to Stabannon at 11.00am.. Nomination­s and Motions meeting for 2019 , takes place this Thursday, November 8, at 8.00 p.m. and the Annual General Meeting will be held on Friday, November 23, at 8.00pm both in the Community Centre. In the U21 competitio­n Preliminar­y Round on Friday last Kilkerley Emmets/Naomh Malachi lost to St Patricks 3-13 to 0-9. Shane Lennon and Mark Clifford mentors with the county U16 team got another win in Fr Manning Cup beating Wexford 3-14 to 1-11 with both Patrick Murtagh and Aaron Crawford on the scoresheet.

DUNDALK CUP WIN

Congratula­tions to Stephen Kenny and their Dundalk Soccer team on winning the Cup on Sunday last to make it a double, having already been crowned league champions.
