United takes-off

United Air­lines is launch­ing sea­sonal ser­vices be­tween Lon­don Heathrow and Den­ver ( March 25 to Oc­to­ber 27) and from Ed­in­burgh to Wash­ing­ton DC ( May 24 to Oc­to­ber 4) this sum­mer.

Star ap­peal

Star Al­liance's new Dig­i­tal Ser­vices Plat­form en­ables its mem­ber air­lines to in­cor­po­rate the data of fel­low Star car­ri­ers in their own apps. “Most fre­quent trav­ellers have a ‘home air­line' in our net­work and would pre­fer to con­trol their en­tire travel ex­pe­ri­ence through a sin­gle app or web­site,” says Star Al­liance CEO, Jeffrey Goh.

A330-300 for SAA

South African Air­ways has in­tro­duced the new Air­bus A330-300 on Lon­don to Jo­han­nes­burg ser­vices. The air­line is also ad­just­ing fre­quen­cies on the route to a sin­gle daily ser­vice.

New Wuhan route

China South­ern Air­lines is in­tro­duc­ing a new non-stop route from Lon­don Heathrow to Wuhan, China. It will op­er­ate three times a week from May 30, with fares from £377 re­turn.

BA cabin facelift

Bri­tish Air­ways has un­veiled its new World Trav­eller Plus and World Trav­eller seats on its fleet of ten Boe­ing 777 air­craft. Cab­ins fea­ture 50 per cent larger en­ter­tain­ment screens and USB sock­ets at ev­ery seat. The first seats will be ready by win­ter 2018.
