The death occurred suddenly on Monday, September 18, of James (Jimmy) Walsh, Church Street, Mitchelstown. The late Jimmy was in his 87th year.
He was very popular being a keen golfer. In his younger days he was a noted footballer with the Galtee Rovers club having won a Co JAFC title in 1957.
He played for his native Limerick. He was also a very keen handballer and won many titles. Throughout his life he kept a very keen interest in sport and was a very friendly person known far and wide. His popularity was borne out in the large and represented attendance that were present at the Chapel of Rest Mitchelstown on Tuesday evening and also at the Requiem Mass on Thursday at the Parish Church Mitchelstown.
Interment took place to Kilbehenny Cemetery. To his wife Mary, nephew, relatives neighbours and many friends we tender our sincere sympathy.
The death occurred on Saturday, September 25, of Maureen Bowman, Scart Kildorrery at the Corpus Christi Nursing Home, Mitchelstown. The late Maureen was a member of an old and established family in Kildorrery. Her popularity was borne out in the large and represented attendance that were present for her funeral on Monday evening from Hannon’s Funeral Home, Kildorrery to St Bartholomew’s Church Kildorrery.
There was also a fine gathering for the Funeral Mass and burial on Tuesday. Interment took place to the local Cemetery.
To her relatives, friends, neighbours and residents of Corpus Christi Nursing Home we tender our sincere sympathy.
The death occurred on Friday of Bridie Lynch (Nee O’Sullivan) at Cahercalla Nursing Home in Ennis., County Clare.
She was from Hill Crest Limerick Road, Ennis and formerly of Liss Araglin. The late Bridie was predeceased by her husband James.
There was a large attendance at the removal on Sunday evening from Kennedy’s Funeral, Ennis to Clarecastle Church and also at the Requiem Mass and burial on Monday. Interment took place to Drumcliffe Cemetery, Ennis.
To her daughters Catherine, Sinead, son Brian, sons in law brother in law, grandchildren, sisters in law, nephews, nieces relatives neighbours and friends we tender our sincere sympathy. THERE was no jackpot winner. The numbers drawn were 5, 21 & 39. Three lucky dip winners each received 50 euros as follows : Bernie Danagher Farrahy, Kildorrery, Ella Clahane, Tankardstown, Kildorrery, John Greaves, Rockmills, Kildorrery.
