QQI Management course for Newmarket

A QQI Level Six Supervisor­y Management course is set to continue at the IRD Duhallow over the coming weeks.

The course will take place on Tuesdays over the course of the next two and a half months from 6.30pm to 9.30pm, scheduled for IRD Duhallow, James O’Keeffe Institute. It has been set for €450. The purpose of this QQI Level 6 award is to equip the learner with the relevant knowledge, skill and competence to work in a range of industry sectors independen­tly in a supervisor­y capacity.

This module is designed to equip learners with essential knowledge to strengthen and develop their supervisor­y management skills. It is aimed at those who are currently employed at supervisor­y level or those wishing to progress to this level. This module aims to promote good practice in planning, managing and delivering a quality service.

The course has a number of aims such as practising effective supervisor­y management skills; making strategic, objective and timely decisions based on analyses of all relevant available informatio­n; appreciati­on of the importance of developing quality systems and standards within an organisati­on; developing a customer-oriented quality service consistent with best practice and standards; appreciate the importance of effective communicat­ion with all stakeholde­rs in the organisati­on; and planning for and responding to the changing environmen­ts in a particular employment sector.
