Millstreet in drive against littering

The Corkman - - COMMUNITY NEWS -

MILLSTREET is again playing an active part in the Cork County Council promoted litter challenge that bids to enhance the environment and attractiveness of the town for residents and visitors

The objectives of the competition are to reduce litter pollution and to encourage community involvement in the solutions to litter. Over the years, Millstreet has made a sustained effort to tackle litter, especially cigarette butts, chewing gum and animal foul.

Everybody can play a part on, first, preventing litter or, second, volunteering one hour per week to Millstreet Tidy Towns.

A clean environment is ever important to Millstreet’s image given international stagings come to the town over the coming weeks.
