Vintage festival Sunday in store

-

CULLEN and District Special Needs Association welcomes old and new acquaintances for its Old Time Threshing and Vintage Festival on Sunday on the grounds of Cullen GAA Ground. It commences at 1pm.

All the tried and tested events are back again, including the popular Old Time Threshing, the usual wonderful display of vintage cars and tractors, children’s sports, bouncing castle, face-painting, lucky dip, and raffles, including a raffle for Daniel O’Donnell and Nathan Carter concert tickets. A recital by Cullen Pipe Band is always popular also, as are the refreshments served on the day.

This fundraising event is both enjoyable and vital to the financial standing of the Cullen and District Special Needs Association. With cutbacks in public funding, much ongoing voluntary effort is required to maintain services for special needs at the current level, as all monies collected will be distributed to the various groups caring for Cullen Special Friends.

The Duhallow Vintage Club is hosting a Vintage Car and Tractor Run, departing Newmarket from 10am to 12 noon to Cullen.
