GAA NEWS

The under-12s played their league Cup semi-final against Aghinagh last week in Clondrohid. Unfortunately, the game didn’t go the way Clondrohid would have liked.

They were in it up till the first water break but after that stoppage, Aghinagh grabbed control of the game and scored a couple of quick fire goals. In the second half Clondrohid upped their performance and made much more of a game of it and picked off some lovely scores their own but in the end Aghinagh ran out winners on a scoreline of 5-14 to 2-08.

Clondrohid under-14 Footballers played Kilbrittain last week in the final league game of their group. They started well but as the half wore on they seemed to make mistakes that cost them a few scores. With a few switches at half time the lads came out after the break with more intensity and took control in key areas of the field resulting in some good scores. The lads went into the lead with 10 minutes to go and from then on controlled the game with some great defensive moves. Exciting finish resulting with Clondrohid winning by one point. Great sporting game played by both sides. Under-16 SF Clondrohid 2-13, Lisgoold 4-04. Well done, lads.

Congratulations to the Junior C’s who defeated Naomh Aban last weekend, some excellent football played. 2-10 to 1-07. Well done.
