1 Modern technology confuses me. I didn’t grow up with texting or Facebook – just telephones and answering machines. So if you want to talk to me, do it in person. 2 My skin is my Achilles heel. It’s sensitive and if I’m not careful, I break out in spots. Nothing upsets me more than that. Some women have bad hair days — I have bad skin days. 3 In my teens I was going to marry one of Duran Duran. I’d never met them but knew that as soon as I did they’d know it was meant to be. I did meet Simon Le Bon once, but not until I was older, which is just as well – if I’d been a teenager, I would have had a heart attack and died. 4 Cameron Diaz keeps badgering me to be more eco-friendly. I have efficient light bulbs, I drive a hybrid car, I try not to run water too long... but it’s not enough for her. She chases me around my house turning lights off and leaving nasty Post-it notes about what I’m doing wrong. 5 I really love Hermès scarves and I’m building up a collection of them – but I can’t figure out how to wear them. European women put them on and look so sophisticated... I just look like some big old cowgirl. It’s not fair.
