The Irish Mail on Sunday - TV Week - - SEVEN DAYS -

It’s Ashley’s first day at the burger bar on Monday and he’s trying to keep it secret, having lied about his lowly position.

He comes in for a hard time from his fellow workers on Tuesday, and an even tougher one on Thursday, when Victoria and Alex discover the truth.

It hardly matters, because he is sacked for taking bread rolls to feed the homeless. It’s hardly the feeding of the 5,000, but Laurel can’t forgive him for losing his job. At least he was able to find his way to work, which he rarely did when he was a vicar (funny how that sat-nav always led him to the public house rather than God’s).

Alicia slaps Val on Monday, after Val calls David ‘brainless, spineless and totally pathetic’ – doesn’t she watch Dancing on Ice? On Friday Val agrees to drop the charges before discovering that it is too late to do so.
