DJ Tony Blackburn,
69, takes on a rare acting role this week, playing himself in an episode of the BBC3 prison comedy Dead Boss. When HMP Broadmarsh holds a singing contest for inmates, Tony is the judge (right). The first voice on BBC Radio One in 1967, Tony has never been afraid to risk ridicule on TV, dressing as a sheep on Harry Hill’s TV Burp in 2006. His victory on the first ever I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! in 2002 (left) helped re-establish him in the public consciousness. He has presented Pick Of The Pops on BBC Radio Two on Saturdays since 2010. Dead Boss, Thursday, 10.30pm, BBC3.
