Many of the faces have changed since this US police procedural premiered back in 2005, but the formula is pretty much the same as season seven kicks off. One familiar face making a return is JJ (AJ Cook), who, having been forced to leave the team for the Pentagon at the beginning of the last series, rejoins the FBI’s Behavioural Analysis Unit full-time this evening. In the first episode of tonight’s double-bill, members of the team feel the heat as they face questions from a Senate committee investigating their retaliatory actions following the loss of Prentiss. It takes the unexpected arrival of a familiar face to get them out of a hole. In the second episode, the team travel to Oklahoma to investigate the sexual assault and murder of two girls of similar appearance and background in the space of three days. Stranger still is the fact that neither victim seems to be wearing her own clothes. Monday, 9pm, RTÉ Two.
