The Irish Mail on Sunday - TV Week - - SEVEN DAYS -

The range of accents makes it hard to understand what anyone is saying, but characters have now started talking in croaky whispers, too, so you can’t even hear what you don’t understand. Does so much dialogue have to be spoken in secrets and asides?

The Hoarse Whisperers learn bad news on Thursday – Silas has escaped. With any luck, the killer will enjoy a massive cull and some new characters can be introduced who do not require subtitles.

By the way, how was it so easy for Silas to get hold of Texas on her mobile? Given all that she has gone through in the past, wouldn’t she have changed her number?

On Monday, Maddie is reeling from her parents’ divorce and heads off to Abersoch in Wales for a blow- out. Trust me, it’s no Marbella. And on Tuesday, Cheryl confronts Brendan about why he’s made Walker her minder. Will she understand his answer?
