HOLLYOAKS

The Irish Mail on Sunday - TV Week - - SEVEN DAYS -

There are two things that mystify me about doctors in soapland: one, that they go for women who, in real life, doctors would never touch, and two, that their allegiance to the Hippocratic Oath is about as meaningful as Ryan Giggs’s wedding vows.

On Monday Dr Browning is furious when he spots a kiss between Riley and Mercedes. Despite getting closer to Riley, on Tuesday Mercedes starts to wonder whether the doctor might offer a slightly more exciting alternative.

Mercedes, leave well alone. There’s no such thing as a free prescription. Never happy, are they, the M&Ms (that’s Misery McQueens).

On Wednesday, Browning and Riley seem to be bonding, too, but how long can this uneasy friendship last?

Friday is a bad day for M&M Carmel, when she feels that her family are not taking her crisis of faith as seriously as she would like.
