Re­becca Lacey’s

role as the mother of trou­bled pupil Joe in Jack White­hall’s new sit­com Bad Ed­u­ca­tion (right) is her first on prime-time TV since a one-off guest ap­pear­ance in The Bill in 2007. The 47-year- old has been work­ing mainly in the the­atre, ap­pear­ing in Michael Frayn’s Bene­fac­tors in Sh­effield ear­lier this year. She re­mains best known as the feisty Dr Georgina ‘Ge­orge’ Woodman in Ca­su­alty ( left) – a role she played from 1997 to 1999 – and as the perky sec­re­tary Hi­lary in the BBC1 sit­com May To De­cem­ber from 1989 to 1993.
