EMMERDALE

The Irish Mail on Sunday - TV Week - - SEVEN DAYS -

There’s playing with f i re, and there’s playing with a blaze that could eat the Forest of Dean in five minutes. That’s the situation Moira and Alex find themselves in on Monday when, yet again, their passion gets the better of them in Moira’s kitchen.

What is it about that kitchen that makes it the focal point of so much high drama? Rows with John? Ooh, better shout in the kitchen. Grieve for John (albeit briefly)? Sit at the kitchen table. Rows with Adam? Kitchen. You get my drift. So, back to that fire. If you can’t stand the heat, get out of... no chance.

It’s hard to know who’s the biggest man-eater, Moira or Chas. The latter gets her claws into Dan on Tuesday in the back room of the pub (makes a change from the cellar – has the woman ever seen a duvet?) and on Wednesday announces to everyone in the Woolpack that he is her new boyfriend.

It doesn’t go down well with Cameron, who on Thursday tells her that Dan isn’t good enough for her. Hmmmm. And he was?
