re­turns to tele­vi­sion this week, three years af­ter tak­ing time out to raise her son. Mar­ried to ac­tor James McAvoy and mother to two-year-old Bren­dan, she has a lead­ing role in Jimmy McGovern’s drama Ac­cused, ap­pear­ing as Mo Mur­ray (right), a woman de­ter­mined to stand up to the threats of a lo­cal gang. Anne-Marie, 41, was last on TV in BBC4’s Mar­got in 2009, play­ing the ti­tle role of bal­le­rina Mar­got Fonteyn. She is best known for play­ing El­iz­a­beth I in the BBC’s pro­duc­tion of The Vir­gin Queen (left), in 2006. Ac­cused, Tues­day, 9pm, BBC1.
