Men, if you’re shaving with an electric razor, other commuters will not appreciate your facial contortions as you move around the nose/chin area. If you’re using a nose/ear trimmer, and this does happen, you might find yourself on social media by lunchtime.
Women, there are handy compacts you can use — there is no excuse for applying foundation with a brush followed by liquid eye liner while you wait for the lights to change. Too messy, and too dangerous.
Again, this applies to both men and women. Perhaps, in a busy office, it’s not so rude for a woman to top up lipstick or powder her nose if she’s running out to a meeting. Men, it is offputting to watch an excavation of the teeth post-lunch. Whatever you think, people are watching.
Mostly girls need take note, but some boys too. Sorry, but we’re not living the dream in LA; we live in Ireland. There’s no excuse for applying so much tan that you look as if you’ve just holidayed on the sun for a month. Choose your fake tan according to skin tone, not wood varieties.
From wood to metal: ladies, be careful how you bronze. Contouring is a major trend; for best results, sculpt your face in daylight so as not to overdo it. Failing that, contour under as bright a light as you can find. Stripes are a trend for S/S13, but in fashion — not faces.
Guys, no one wants to see or hear you cutting your nails. Keep that grooming behind a closed bathroom door, please. Ladies, if your polish covers the midsection of your nail and is bare top and tip, it’s been on way too long, as well you know. Remove and repaint or buff the natural nails!
