Af After what feels like months and mo months of build up, the wedding day of K Kirsty and Tyrone finally arrives ( (left). lef But given that Kirsty has at last sussed her fiancé’s plan to get cus custody of Ruby and shack up with Fiz Fiz, it looks like being anything othe other than a quiet affair.

O On Wednesday the ‘ happy cou couple’ come to blows as Kirsty flie flies into one of her rages and falls dow down the stairs. Seeing her chance for r revenge, Kirsty tells the police that Tyrone pushed her and, rather than riding off into the sunset with Fiz, he ends up locked in a cell.

It’ It’s gripping stuff with splendid performa performances from all involved, with special credit to Natalie Gumede as Kirsty, who has nailed the character of the wildeyed psycho with aplomb. So much so that you can forgive the fact that Corrie only used the ‘framing someone for pushing them down the stairs’ storyline last year with Becky and Tracy. It also makes up for the incredibly tedious Sophie and Jenna storyline currently running, which ends in Jenna finally coming out of the closet to her parents and getting suspended from work for kissing Sophie.

Considering the most exciting part of her day is coming downstairs for her tea it’s no wonder Faye is arranging meetings with a man called Tim. It turns out that Tim is her dad and Faye is devastated when Anna says she can never see him again.

Elsewhere smooth-talker Lewis spends much of the week trying to convince Gail to move to Europe with him to run a hotel. Hang on a minute, wasn’t that the exact same ploy he first used with Audrey? Not very original these conmen, are they?
