BIRCHER MUESLI WITH GRATED AP­PLE, NUTS AND RAISINS

100g (3½oz) por­ridge oats 250ml (9fl oz) ap­ple juice Half an ap­ple

1tsp honey 50g (1¾oz) mixed nuts and raisins Soak the por­ridge oats in the ap­ple juice for at least half an hour or prefer­ably overnight in the fridge. Peel and grate in the ap­ple, stir, then mix in the honey. Place a small fry­ing pan over a medium heat and lightly toast the nuts and raisins for or about 2-4 min­utes or un­til lightly golden — be care­ful not to burn them. Scat­ter them over the bircher muesli li and serve im­me­di­ately.
