WHIZ UP A LIME DRESS­ING

This dress­ing can be made in ad­vance and chilled un­til ready to use. Mix 3tbsp may­on­naise with 1 clove crushed gar­lic and the zest and juice of half a lime. Serve with grilled chicken or fish and a green salad.

MAKE A CHEESY PASTA SAUCE

Fry 1 crushed clove of gar­lic and 200g sliced mush­rooms in 30g of but­ter for 2-3 mins. Add 100g spinach and stir to wilt. Add 75g crum­bled blue cheese and melt. Pour over tagliatelle. Serves 2.

PEP UP A CURRY

Try the Hairy Bik­ers’ co­rian­der chut­ney with a curry. Trim most of the stalk off a large bunch of co­rian­der and whiz in a food pro­ces­sor with a small hand­ful of mint leaves, 2 de­seeded green chill­ies, 10g root ginger, peeled, 4 spring onions, chopped, 1tbsp lemon juice, 2tsp caster sugar, 1/4tsp salt, 3tbsp nat­u­ral yo­ghurt and 3tbsp wa­ter. MIX UP A MANGO LASSI

In a liq­uidiser, whiz the flesh of 1 mango with 300ml nat­u­ral yo­ghurt, 5-6 mint leaves and 100ml iced wa­ter un­til smooth. Serve in 2 tum­blers with ice.
