WHIZ UP A LIME DRESSING
This dressing can be made in advance and chilled until ready to use. Mix 3tbsp mayonnaise with 1 clove crushed garlic and the zest and juice of half a lime. Serve with grilled chicken or fish and a green salad.
MAKE A CHEESY PASTA SAUCE
Fry 1 crushed clove of garlic and 200g sliced mushrooms in 30g of butter for 2-3 mins. Add 100g spinach and stir to wilt. Add 75g crumbled blue cheese and melt. Pour over tagliatelle. Serves 2.
PEP UP A CURRY
Try the Hairy Bikers’ coriander chutney with a curry. Trim most of the stalk off a large bunch of coriander and whiz in a food processor with a small handful of mint leaves, 2 deseeded green chillies, 10g root ginger, peeled, 4 spring onions, chopped, 1tbsp lemon juice, 2tsp caster sugar, 1/4tsp salt, 3tbsp natural yoghurt and 3tbsp water. MIX UP A MANGO LASSI
In a liquidiser, whiz the flesh of 1 mango with 300ml natural yoghurt, 5-6 mint leaves and 100ml iced water until smooth. Serve in 2 tumblers with ice.
